INTRODUCTION TO MYTH AS MEDICINE
To step onto the Mythic Stage is to return to the primal theatre of life. This is designed to expand your capacity for a rich sense based palette of authentic and courageous self expression as a medium to the deep unconscious.
Myth is not fiction. It is the original language of the soul. Myth is the subconscious of the collective made visible. Myth is the poetic encoding of truth that bypasses intellect and touches the archetypal body.
Myth is the memory body of the world. The mythic body communicates beyond langue - symbol, impulse, gesture, rhythm, sound, story, movement and within the relational field. This is the body before colonization, before suppression. In myth, the human becomes animate—alive to the intelligence of nature, spirit, and the unseen.
The Mythic Stage is a healing art - a modality of Visionary Somatics that transforms relationship dynamics, identity entanglements, and emotional trauma through embodied theatre, ritual, movement, and song.
We become the stage. We become the myth. We return to the essence of healing: to move, to sing, to feel, and to re-member.
It is not performance in the conventional sense. It is a space of experimentation, deep feeling and poetic risks.
The Mythic Stage is based on the understanding that:
The human body is a memory theatre of experience, where:
trauma is stored in tone, posture, and relational pattern - as well as information within the living field
identity is maintained through repeated embodied performance of social & ancestral programs
emotion is movement trapped in form
expression is the release mechanism
Transformation occurs when embodied patterns are re-scripted through ritualised expression.
Myth is the original operating system of this body.
